This masterplan for a greenfield development in Western Sydney comprised 1200 independent living units, with a residential aged care facility and communal facilities at the centre of the development. Sited on the crest of a hill, the masterplan took advantage of slopes to capture extensive rural views.
Large areas of the site were maintained as natural bushland with development limited by an encircling gabion wall.
The main road provided a strong spine which traversed the topography of the hillside offering easy access to all dwellings. Residents can take advantage of views from intimate plazas and platforms around the hill. Communal facilities, shops, offices and services flank the central piazza.
